When we were in Mexico sourcing vintage and handcrafted pieces for the store last year we kept smelling the most unique and refreshing "incense". We learned it was the white copal that the place we stayed used as part of their daily sun practice. We were lucky enough to get educated on the history and fell in love with the combination of white copal tree resin burning on charcoal logs and spent months formulating this blend with our candle maker to perfect the essence as a candle.
Some History: Mayan practices of using white copal (a tree resin) used as a spiritual practice of purification, healing, connection & creation of sacred spaces. A citrine bergamont, a popular citrus that is exported from mexico and a smokey calming vetiver oud that mimics the smoke you would smell when they burn raw white copal.
