Charcoal discs for resin incense require about 20-30 seconds of direct flame to ignite, then need 3-5 minutes to fully heat up and turn gray. Place pieces of white copal resin onto disk to burn and burn. Disks will keep hot and burn incense up to an hour without needing to reheat.
Videos showcase both our experience first hand in Mexico - where we stayed practiced a mayan ritual multiple times a day of burning the white copal on charcoal logs. White Copal is used to clear negative energy, honor their ancestors, and carry prayers to the spiritual realm. It is a staple in rituals involving the "four burners" or four cardinal directions.
The second video shows how you can burn the copal on the charcoal disks we provide. You can also use charcoaled wood if you have them.
